Dudhbhate Optometry College is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (Nashik). Dudhbhate Optometry College has started in January 2025 under the guidance of Dr. Anil Dudhbhate. Objective behind the starting Optometry College is to make eye care service more perfect by providing complete solution for every need.
About Optometry
Optometry is a noble profession in ophthalmology field in which an optometrist works as a primary eye care professional. Optometrist can perform routine eye examination, can do detection and diagnosis of vision disorders and can treat them externally inform of spectacle, contact Lenses, Vision therapy, rehabilitation through low vision Aids. These duties can be fulfilled by the optometrist by working in eye clinic, eye hospitals or by setting own optometry set up. All these specialities can be achieved during the Bachelor in Optometry course. In present days Optometry is the most flourishing field under the department of Allied Health Sciences
Optometry Courses offered by Dudhbhate Optometry College
Under Graduate Course:
Undergraduate optometry course offered by Dudhbhate Optometry College is Bachelor in Optometry. The candidate who is interested in this course should be aware about following points:
- Candidate at least should have pass HSC (10+2) with 50% in PCB group
- Candidates who are from reserved category should hve pass with minimum 40% in PCB group.
- Candidate should have completed 17 years of an age as on 31st December of the year of the admission.
- The candidate should furnish a certificate of Physical Fitness form registered Medical Practitioner at the time of admission.
- Seats under reservation quota are based on guidelines from Maharashtra State guidelines
Course Duration
This course needs minimum 4 years to get completed. It is a full time course in which first 3 years candidate has to learn theory of the optometry subjects. During last year i.e on 4th year candidate has to achieve practical skills which are based on the theory. Internship includes clinical as well as dispensing postings.

The program runs as per guidelines of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. Program have been designed in a semester pattern. Here is the list of subjects per year:

Rules & Regulations
All students admitted to Dudhbhate Optometry College will be governed by the rules and regulations that are prescribed from time to time.
The idea about College timing, dress code and other activities will be given by management time to time.
Anti-Ragging and Conduct:
The institute has formulated a strict anti-ragging guideline, wherein all students, who have taken admission in the Institute, are required to sign an undertaking to abide by these guidelines. Students, found violating these guidelines are liable to strict disciplinary action, which includes expulsion from the institute and a criminal case will subsequently be lodged against the student, at the police station, as per the directive from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. The Management has the jurisdiction, to change or modify the rules and regulations, as and when deemed necessary, in order to maintain decorum in the eye hospital premises.
The management, reserves the right, to take strict disciplinary action, against the students for their misconduct and subordination, which includes expulsion from the institute and a criminal case will subsequently be lodged against the student, at the police station, as per the directive from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
